English Can Help Indonesia to be Recognized by The World

Sometimes I like to speak English in school. When I talk to my friends (in Bahasa Indonesia), I like to use some English terms that I think are very familiar and easy to understand. But some of my friends don't really like that habit of mine. They often say that because I'm Indonesian and I currently live in Indonesia I should be using Bahasa Indonesia at all times no matter what. That way people could really see me as somebody who actually loves Indonesia. And I was like "What the....". These people are terribly mistaken. Just because sometimes or often I use English it doesn't mean I don't love Indonesia. In fact, because I'm fluent in English, I can help my country. I can share what my country has to the world because I can communicate easily with people from anywhere. They don't seem to see this opportunity.
So I'd like to urge my Indonesian friends out there to study English and be able to speak it fluently. Imagine if all Indonesians could speak English fluently. It would definitely be beneficial to our country's advance. It would help in almost all sectors. Economy, politics, social, tourism, etc. I'd also like to give a shout-out to all those Indonesians thinking that speaking English in Indonesia when you're actually talking to an Indonesian is an act of "treason" (to put it in an extreme way). In fact we could spread the English virus to everyone and we could achieve a lot of stuff as I said before. So come on, Indonesians. If more of us could be fluent in English then we could help our nation A LOT :)

Speech Script: Being an Introvert

Hey, Guys. I thought I'll share another speech script today. I used this script when I was competing in a competition held by a Senior High in Bantul, Yogyakarta Special Area. I got 1st in that competition so I think this one is pretty good. And I also wanna say that in this speech script I slipped in a little personal story of mine. So it's gonna be a little hard if you're going to copy it haha... So here you go. I’ve always felt that I’m different compared to most people. At least compared to most students in my school. On break time, they like to gather in groups and gossip about someone or chat about the current trends. I prefer not to. If I necessarily have to get involved in a group chat outside my class, I always try not to do the unnecessary. Not to talk too much. Some people say that I’m shy and weird. Some even say I’m arrogant and antisocial. The truth is, I’m an “introvert”. So ladies and gentlemen, the honourable judges, and my fellow competitors, this morn...

Do you take notes in class?

Hi! It's been a hell of a long time, hasn't it? But here I am, finally back again. You know those people who make Blogs, writes on them, until they finally get either tired or bored or busy and their Blog gets deserted like the most quiet part of the Sahara? Well the first time I decided to make this Blog I was determined to not become that type of person. Anyway, I'm not really into a deep, philosophical talking right now. I'm in a more of a trivial mood if there even is such a thing. And in having this mood, a question just hatched at the top of my head. Do you take notes in class? I mean seriously. Do you take notes when you're studying or do you make notes of what your teacher writes on tho front board? Because I do. But I never revisit my notes. I have a number of friends that like to take notes of everything that has been either spoken or written in class. Some of them even go to extensive methods when it comes to note-taking e.g. buying expensive statione...

Fear & The National Finals

Fear. That thrilling sensation triggered by your brain that goes down your spine and from there, it swarms every centimetre cubic and square of your flesh and skin. That unsettling feeling translated into a consistently rapid heartbeat. It's one of those set of letters that you definitely don't want engraved in your mind. It's that thing that you don't want infecting your thoughts and ideas. It is the very embodiment of "not good". And those words above are probably an exaggeration. But let's be honest, some of it is definitely true and worth nodding your head towards. Whilst I am writing this blog, I am feeling fear. It has little to do with the blogpost itself. But it has everything to do with the Junior High School's national finals that is to be conducted on Monday, nationwide throughout the whole Indonesian archipelago. And you might wonder, what's so frightening about an exam? I mean, towards a certain extent, and to some people, it is sl...
