First of all, I am a Madridista. But when it comes to things like this I really wanna look at the picture objectively without being biased to Real Madrid. So here's what I think about the match.
Real Madrid played horribly for a semi-final stage against a team that some say should have been defeated by Monaco in the quarter-finals (no offence to Juventinis but that's true). The passing was not all that good in midfield. In fact if anything, I think Real Madrid are being really really sloppy with their possession.
One of the things that played badly for Real Madrid in this match is Ramos' position. I know Ancelotti played him in the midfield and I know it has been successful for a couple of matches before but this time it really just isn't right. I think having Ramos in midfield could be really good when it "works out" but in this match I don't think it did. Sergio Ramos isn't really that guy in midfield with the vision and the passes if you get what I'm saying. He missed a few passes and it would seem that he isn't in the same wave length as his teammates in some occasion. Although at least you would expect him to be a valuable asset in defence, I think it also wasn't his day when it comes to that.
Anyway, a great goal from Ronaldo and that single away goal might be a huge lift in the Bernabeu.
Juve played a really really great game. I admire their discipline in defence and their counter-attacks, They were playing the kind of game that Madrid should be playing that night. The first goal was a decent one. Even though I'm a little bit crossed by who scored it. Hehe. But the second one, emm, not so. I mean, don't get me wrong. I agree with referee Atkinson's decision to point at the spot. I just couldn't really accept the fact that it all started by Marcelo's shot (I believe) and it got deflected by Juve's defence until it magically reached Tevez's foot. It was the most silly of starts but whatever, still a goal and I can't argue with it.
After their second goal, Juve's defence did a really great job in defending Real Madrid's attacks. It was really hard to find an opening there. When Juve was countering, most of the time you only see 3 Madrid players at the defence before more comes as reinforcement. But when Madrid was countering, man, Juve's got like 6 people already there so it's so hard to find an opening.
Nonetheless, it wasn't the worst outcome for Real Madrid even though it should've been better. There's still a lot to look forward to in the Bernabeu. For Juve fans out there, please don't look up too much. We're notorious for our last minute plot twists so don't let your guard down...
