So before I even started this blog, I use to write journals. Not exactly everyday but yeah I do write them often. But recently I started focusing on this blog and started to forget about my journal. This night, right before I wrote this, I stumbled upon it (long story). So I decided to share it to you. What I'm gonna share with you right now is a Journal I made at December 4 2015. The title was "change". It was inspired by a Ted Talk delivered by Jules Evans entitled "How philosophy can save your life".
So Today is the fourth day of the first semester's finals. It was Science and Sports Education today. Science is a big deal. And guess what? I'm rather pessimistic about my results on it. I definitely messed up a lot of answers. So, hey.. What the hell should I do? I'm basically fucked you know. But then I accidentally got to this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XuwYvFlNGns (it was a long story). It told me about how powerful philosophy was. It could basically get me out of anything. So, hey... I know what to do. I need to be a philosopher. I'm not saying I need to get a Doctoral degree soon. I need to be a philosopher in the simple way. Probably the simplest. And change.

Albert Ellis: The ABC Theory
- A= Active events
- B= Beliefs
- C= Cognitive emotions
What we believe upon
an event might not be the truth. And therefore the emotions that we experience
might not be the truth either.
Epictetus: The Key to
Resilience
This world is
divided into two spheres. The first one is a sphere that contains things that
we don't have full control of (the weather, other people, the government,
economy) and the second one contains the things that we have full control of
(Our beliefs). Emotional problems come from two mistakes: 1)Trying to force
complete control on something in the first sphere, 2)Failing to take control of
something on the second sphere.
So that was that. If you're interested to see more then let me know and if you have a story of your own then be sure to link it to me. See ya...
